Transfer from the old to the new shop

  • You will receive an email two weeks before the account transfer date with the subject line "Your Account Transfer to the New TecAlliance Online Shop" and general information about the transfer process and the exact transfer date.

  • One day before the account transfer, you will receive a reminder with more details and what needs to be done on the day of transferring.

  • On the day of the account transfer, you will receive an email with the subject line "Welcome to TecAlliance". You will find what to do in the FAQ --> "How do I activate my account for the new online shop?

 

Our new Shops brings a lot of new features and an improved usability. For your transfer to the new shop please beware of the following:

  • Personal access with new password: In order to access your new TecAlliance account, you must first activate your account by setting a new password (Process is described in the FAQ “How do I activate my account for the new online shop?”).
     

  • TecAlliance App Portal (Single-Sign-On): From now on you can access the new online shop, your products and our new license management via the new TecAlliance App Portal.
     

  • License management: Our new license management allows you to manage your licenses easily and flexibly. If you have active subscriptions, your current subscriptions will be automatically transferred to the new shop.

 

You will receive an e-mail with the subject “Welcome to TecAlliance”. This email will invite you to complete your registration for your new TecAlliance account. Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Click on the “Activate your account” to start the process for setting a new password.

  3. Set and confirm your new password and then click on the “Create my Account” button. 

  4. You´ll see the applications that are available for you. Click on the online shop to start your new TecAlliance shopping experience. 

All new orders and the management of licenses can only be done in the new shop, respectively in the new license management. With the exception of looking up the order history from all orders in the old shop (active and non-active orders), there is no reason to use the old shop anymore.

No. If you wish to view your order history you have still access to the history for all orders you´ve placed in the old shop. All order data for your active licenses (with automatic renewal) are transferred to the new shop as well. All new placed orders will of course be displayed in the new shop.
 

For technical reasons the order history for all one-time licenses and orders (without automatic renewall)
can´t be transferred to the new shop.

You have easy access to all of your applications that are unlocked for you via the TecAlliance App Portal. The TecAlliance App Portal gives you easy access to all your apps that are available to you. Please make sure you have activated your account as described in the FAQ - How do I activate my account.

No – you can still access the old shop, but orders can only be placed in the new shop which contains all available products and prices in your area.

Customers with a yearly licence
(No automatic renewal)

No. One-time purchased products (with no automatic renewal) are not transferred to the new shop due to technical reasons.

 

Of course you can use your one-time purchased products (with no automatic renewal) as you are used to until their end date, or respectively until the product is used up.

You can still access the old shop, but new orders can only be placed in the new shop which contains all available products and prices in your area. As we are switching to a subscription model, one-time licenses can not be purchased anymore.

Customers with active subscriptions
(Automatic renewal)

Yes – your licenses are automatically transferred to the new shop. Nevertheless there are some changes that you´ve got to consider, as from now on each license has to be assigned to one unique email address. Therefore please be aware of the following:

  • If you have only license: the one license is automatically assigned to your mail address.
     

  • If you have > 1 license: one license is automatically assigned to your mail address. All other licenses have to be assigned to your colleagues in the license management that you can access via the TecAlliance App Portal.

Please take note when you also have yearly licenses (not automatically renewed) – those won´t be transferred.

Your payment method and data will be transferred to the new shop. Example: when you´ve bought your current license with credit card, then the same credit card is also charged again at the renewal of the subscription.

The orders for your active subscriptions will be transferred to the new shop. You can access the order data for your active subscriptions in the “MyAccount” → “Order History” Section in the new shop. Please note: the order history for expired or terminated licenses cannot be transferred due to technical reasons.

License Management

Our new license management allows you to manage your licenses easily and flexibly. The license management allows you to:
 

  • Get an overview of all of your active licenses, including license period, invoice and subscription number(s)
     

  • Assign licenses easily to users
     

  • Manage assignment periods for users
     

  • Revoke user access to licenses

No – If you have active subscriptions, your current subscriptions will be automatically transferred to the new shop. Please be aware of the following: before your colleagues can continue to use the TecAlliance products, you have to assign the licenses to your colleagues.

You can find and manage your existing licenses in the license management – you can access the license management from the TecAlliance App Portal. You can reach the App Portal via the following LINK or you can jump to the Portal from the "MyAccount" section when you´re logged in in the shop.

Please note the following steps for assigning licenses:

  1. Go to the license management via the TecAlliance App Portal

  2. Go to “My Licenses”

  3. Click on “Manage users” in the subscription overview

  4. Click on “New User”

  5. Enter the Email Address of the colleague and a start & end date for the period the colleague should have access to the license

  6. Click on “Submit”

→ After step 6 the user will receive an invitation mail with all necessary information in order to get access to the product.

Please note the following steps for assigning licenses:

  1. Go to the license management via the TecAlliance App Portal

  2. Go to “My Licenses”

  3. Click on “Manage users” in the subscription overview

  4. Click on the arrow right next to the mailadress of the user where you want to change the assignment period

  5. Click on “change User”

  6. Enter the corresponding “Start Date” and “To Date”

  7. Click on “Submit”

Please note the following steps for assigning licenses:

  1. Go to the license management via the TecAlliance App Portal

  2. Go to “My Licenses”

  3. Click on “Manage users” in the subscription overview

  4. Click on the arrow right next to the mailadress of the user where you want to change the assignment period

  5. Click on “deactivate”
